Sky Country Elementary School is located on 5520 Lucretia Avenue Jurupa, CA 91752 and was originally built in 1984 and last completed in 2018. Sky Country Elementary currently sits on 11 site acreage with 47,240 square feet of building area. There are 18 buildings on site 1-story buildings, built of metal frame structure on concrete slab with raised floors, steel frame with concrete topped metal decks, stucco and aluminum window facades.  The portables are prefabricated wood frame structures and Gable roofs with wooden decking, wood siding and aluminum window facades.

Sky Country School opened to students in September of 1984 in an unicorporated area of Riverside County called Mira Loma.  It is one of 16 elementary schools in the Jurupa Unified School District, a semi-rural community that includes horse trails and small parks.  Of 579 students, 70% are Hispanic and 29% white and 1% other.  The English Learner population is currently 172, or 30% of our enrollment, and the Socio-Economically Disadvantaged populations is 60% .  All of our teachers are either CLAD, BCLAD, or SDAIE certified and meet the NCLB criteria of Highly Qualified.  We serve 33 GATE students and six teachers have GATE certification.  Sky Country earned the honor of being named a 2010 California Distinguished School. This honor was earned due to our narrowing of the achievment gap between our significant sub-groups.  Our API is 831.

The Sky Country staff is committed to creating a school that knows no limits to the academic success of each student. Teachers provide challenging lessons reflecting current research, best practices, and high expectations.  Sky Country Elementary takes pride in maintaining a student-focus for all activities and programs. Teachers help to develop connections between life experiences and the curriculum. Staff and parents work together to develop the social, emotional, and physical well-being of all students.

All Sky Country School students will be academically successful and master the challenging common core state standards.  Students will develop their individual potential and self-worth to become successful, contributing citizens who take full responsibilities for their actions. Students will be respectful, responsible and safe.​
